Intimate Garden Wedding at a Historic Estate
Set in the historic gardens of Capen House, this intimate garden celebration was designed as a soft, romantic gathering that prioritized warmth, and personal connection. Planned and executed over a focused three-month timeline, the wedding embraced a refined gathering rooted in ease rather than excess.
A pastel-forward palette guided the visual direction, with layered tones of blush, soft peach, lavender, pale blue, and cream woven throughout the day. Bridesmaids were dressed in butter yellow, adding warmth and cohesion, while guests were invited to participate in the palette through pastel attire—creating a unified, immersive atmosphere that felt intentional yet relaxed.
Florals were styled organically, favoring movement and softness over formality. Garden roses, ranunculus, and delicate filler blooms were arranged in loose compositions across the estate, complementing the venue’s classical interiors and lush outdoor setting. Textural details—lace, linen, glass, woven chargers, and subtle gold and silver accents—added depth while maintaining a light, airy feel.
The overall design balanced structure with intimacy. Tablescapes were simple and welcoming, ceremony seating was arranged to feel close and communal, and personal details were layered throughout to encourage guests to linger, connect, and feel at home. The result was a garden estate wedding defined by softness, intentional design choices, and a shared sense of calm celebration.
